Level 2 or Level 3 Nursery PractitionerLocation: Maidenhead, Berkshire, SL6Salary: £32000 per year + On Going TrainingContract: All year roundHours: Monday to FridayAge Group: Children aged 2 to 4 yearsExperience Required: Previous experience working in an early years settingQualification Required: NVQ Level 2 or level 3 childcare qualificationStart Date: As soon as possibleHelp Young Children Learn, Grow and ThriveClaires Court is looking for two Level 2 or Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join its Nursery team in Maidenhead, working with children aged 2 to 4 years .Based at The Thicket , you will be joining an experienced team within a newer nursery setting surrounded by beautiful grounds alongside the Junior School.

This is an all year round position, working Monday to Friday. This is a lovely opportunity for an experienced early years professional who enjoys being hands on with children, creating engaging activities and helping each child develop confidence, independence and a genuine love of learning.

What You'll Be DoingNo two days in nursery are quite the same. One minute you could be helping a child master something new, the next you might be knee deep in paints, building blocks or imaginative play. Your role will include: Creating fun, stimulating and age appropriate play and learning activitiesSupporting children's learning and development through playSupervising children and ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all timesSupporting children with meals, snacks, drinks and personal care when neededObserving children's development and helping to maintain accurate progress recordsPreparing activities and creating an engaging nursery environmentBuilding positive relationships with parents and carersWorking closely with colleagues across the Nursery and Extended Day Care provisionContributing to staff meetings, planning and nursery activitiesMaintaining high standards of safeguarding, hygiene and careYou will also play an important part in creating the warm, nurturing environment children need to feel secure, confident and ready to explore.

About YouWe're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with young children and understands just how important those early years are. To be considered, you will need: An NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualificationPrevious experience working within an early years settingGood knowledge and understanding of the EYFSA good standard of English and numeracyThe ability to create a happy, safe and stimulating play environmentStrong communication skills when working with children, parents and colleaguesGood organisational skillsA positive, professional and dependable approachThe ability to work well as part of a teamA strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of childrenYou should also be comfortable using a tablet or EYFS software to record children's observations and development.
