Depend on Experience, c£45-£60k plus benefits. Job Term: Permanent, Full Time, Onsite Job Outline: My client, who is a market leading developer of Optical/Photonic based products and systems, now requires an Optical Design Engineer to join their team in Oxfordshire.

Working as part of a team of multidisciplinary engineers, you will work on the design and development of exciting next generation optoelectronics sensors using Zemax optical design software. Within the role you will support the development of laser, detector and fibre based optoelectronic devices and systems from initial requirements through to manufacture.

You will also support the delivery of technically complex projects on time and to budget and in line with company processes, as well as building and testing of sample products for proving and evaluation. You will provide reviews and reports to support and validate designs, along with producing work instructions, diagrams and training to aid transfer to production.

In addition to this you will also produce the relevant engineering paperwork/records, ensure BOM's are correct and kept up date and liaise with both customers and supply chain as required. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking technology leader.

Experience: As an Optical Design Engineer, you should have at least 3 years commercial experience in the development of fibre systems and optical sensors.

Qualifications

A minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering, Physics, Electronics, Optics or a related field is essential. Additional Information: Candidates must be resident in the UK and be eligible to live and work in UK, without ever requiring sponsorship.
