This is a hands-on, physical role. You'll be on your feet, moving around, and not sat at a desk. You'll need to be comfortable lifting parcels, handling ice packs, and staying active throughout your shift. This isn't your typical warehouse – you'll be part of a medium-sized pharmacy team, working alongside two other Packing Operatives.
It's not a Community Pharmacy, so you won't be dealing with customers. You'll be packing and sealing boxes in both ambient and refrigerated areas. Summary of what your role will look like: You'll be packing and sealing boxes in both ambient and refrigerated areas, keeping a steady supply of boxes and moving stock to and from the warehouse as needed.
You'll work on a rota within the refrigerated area (2–8°C), typically once or twice per week as part of a team of three packers. You could spend up to 45 minutes in the fridge at a time, going in and out to collect stock and complete packing tasks.
This could total up to 6 hours across a shift. You'll use a pump truck to move deliveries for loading onto the van at the end of the day, as well as completing order reconciliation logs accurately. It's a physical role where you'll be standing for long periods, handling ice packs and lifting parcels weighing up to 7kg.
