Academics are recruiting for a full-time Pastoral Support Worker to join a popular and highly regarded secondary school in Halifax , starting in September.
?? ABOUT THE ROLE
You'll be working closely with secondary-aged students, providing pastoral and emotional support and helping pupils to engage positively with school.
- The successful candidate will be someone who is:
- ?? Confident supporting young people with mental health and emotional wellbeing
- ?? Experienced in managing and responding to challenging behaviour
- ?? Calm, patient and reassuring , even in difficult situations
- ?? Positive, approachable and able to build strong relationships
- ??? A confident communicator who can work effectively with pupils, staff and families
- ?? Passionate about making a genuine difference to young people's lives
- ?? ? ?? EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL
You must have experience working with secondary-aged children , either within a secondary school environment or a similar setting such as youth work, mentoring or other relevant support work .
