We are working with a well-established professional services firm in Aberdeen who are looking to appoint an experienced Payroll Manager to lead and develop their payroll function. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional who enjoys leading a team, building strong client relationships and driving continuous improvement.
You will take full ownership of the payroll department, overseeing day-to-day operations while playing a key role in developing the team, improving processes and supporting the continued growth of the service.
Key responsibilities will include
Leading, managing and developing the payroll team, providing support, coaching and guidance. Taking ownership of the overall performance and delivery of the payroll department. Overseeing client payrolls to ensure accuracy, compliance and deadlines are consistently met.
Acting as the main point of contact for key clients, building strong relationships and providing a high level of service. Managing complex payroll queries and ensuring issues are resolved efficiently. Overseeing year-end payroll activities, pension auto-enrolment and statutory reporting.
Ensuring compliance with HMRC legislation, GDPR and payroll best practice. Identifying opportunities to improve processes, introduce automation and enhance service delivery. Supporting recruitment, training and development across the team.
Contributing to business development opportunities and the continued growth of the payroll function. This role is well suited for someone who has significant experience managing payrolls across a varied client portfolio whilst having experience of leading and developing a payroll team.
