Physician Assistants are encouraged to consider a per diem moonlighting opportunity with Liberty Healthcare at the Dorothea Dix Center in Bangor Maine. The Dorothea Dix Psychiatric Center is a 51-bed psychiatric hospital which provides inpatient care to people who are experiencing mental illness.
After-hours medical services are provided to hospital patients by Libertys skilled team of Physician Assistants. Physician Assistants work weekday shifts 16 hours in duration from 4pm to 8am as well as weekend and holiday shifts 24 hours in duration from 8am to 8am.
Scheduling is done well in advance and on as needed as available basis though shifts occasionally become available on short notice.
