Planner

Planner - Rail & Civil EngineeringLeeds 50,000 - 75,000 + package I'm currently working with a well-established and growing civil engineering and infrastructure contractor based in Morley, Leeds, who are looking to add an experienced Planner to their team.

The business delivers major infrastructure and civil engineering projects, including projects within a rail environment, and this is a good opportunity for someone who wants to play a key role in the planning and delivery of projects from pre-construction through to completion.

I'm looking for someone who has strong project management and project planning experience, ideally gained within rail, civil engineering or infrastructure, alongside solid experience using Primavera P6. The Role As Planner, you'll work closely with Project Managers, Site Teams and the wider commercial and operational teams to develop, manage and maintain project programmes across a range of projects.

Your responsibilities will include

Developing and maintaining detailed project programmesProducing and updating programmes using Primavera P6Planning and programming projects within a rail environmentWorking with Project Managers and Site Teams to monitor progress against programmeIdentifying delays, risks and potential mitigation measuresProducing progress reports and programme updatesSupporting project teams with short, medium and long-term planningReviewing project performance and identifying areas for improvementManaging programme changes and assessing their impact on project deliveryWorking closely with commercial teams to understand programme and cost implicationsSupporting pre-construction and tendering activitiesAttending progress, planning and project review meetingsProviding clear programme information to senior management and clientsWe're looking for someone with a strong background in project planning and project management, ideally with experience working on rail projects or within the wider rail infrastructure environment.
