Planner

Overview

In this role, you will develop and maintain integrated project schedules for complex energy and nuclear programmes, coordinating across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning. You will align master schedules with contract and discipline-level plans, monitor critical paths, and drive schedule performance and continuous improvement.

You will work within Gleeds’ energy team, partnering with cross-functional colleagues to deliver high-impact projects. This position offers travel to client sites, flexible hours, and opportunities to shape major infrastructure programmes in a global consultancy setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated project and programme schedules across disciplines
• Establish WBS, activity coding, calendars, milestones and baselines
• Maintain master schedule and ensure alignment across programme, project, contract and discipline plans
• Identify critical/path constraints and key interfaces; monitor schedule-driving deliverables
• Track progress against baselines (physical progress, earned value, forecast dates)
• Promote planning standards, lessons learned, and continuous improvement across the programme

Key requirements

• Relevant planning experience (nuclear/energy desirable)
• Experience with Primavera P6, Asta Power Project and Microsoft Power Project
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, or building services beneficial
• Ideally HNC/HND or Degree qualified
• Professional qualifications or membership of a relevant Chartered Institute desirable
