Murphy is recruiting for a Planning and Project Controls Manager to work with Energy initally based out of Kentish Town, with travel to project sites. Our continual drive to innovate, while encouraging sustainability, ensures we remain at the forefront of the industry, and is demonstrated in our long-standing relationships with major energy providers in multiple countries.A day in the life of a Murphy Planning ManagerManage the planning team on a day-to-day basisDrive implementation and use of planning and project controls procedures and processesLine and/or functional management of planners, including management of external planning resourcesDevelop capability across the team to deliver high quality standards and outputsApply a consistent audit and review approach to ensure planning requirements are met, reduce non-compliance and improve project and business performanceManage the structured and controlled use of enterprise planning toolsContribute to the development of business unit and sector plans and strategiesReview and apply client-specific requirementsMaintain effective working relationships with clients and project stakeholders (internal and external)Ensure integrated, whole life programmes are developed from first principles in line with planning and work winning proceduresContribute to business development activities to identify, pursue and secure projectsEnsure alignment with work winning governance processes in relation to planning outputsEnsure tender programmes are critically reviewed to confirm that planning and scheduling are appropriate, contractually compliant, robust and deliverableEnsure integrated, whole life programmes are developed and maintained from first principles in line with planning procedures and contract requirementsEnsure accurate and transparent reporting of progress, risks and issues related to the programmeEnsure programmes and associated reports are regularly updated and submitted to the client in line with contract requirementsApply change control processes for identifying, notifying and quantifying time impacts relating to delay, disruption and changeMaintain alignment between Operations, Commercial and Planning teams to ensure consistent project informationContribute to the identification, management and mitigation of project risksFacilitate planning and project teams in resolving risks and issuesStill interested, does this sound like you?
