Mechanical Engineer Salary: Up to £44,000 Location: Gainsborough Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm, with some flexibility around planned shutdowns Job Role of the Mechanical Engineer A well-established manufacturing business in Gainsborough is looking to add a Mechanical Engineer to its engineering team.
This is a hands-on, days-based position focused predominantly on planned maintenance, helping to keep production equipment reliable, efficient and available while supporting breakdowns when required. You'll work across a variety of mechanical plant and production machinery, carrying out fault finding, component changes, lubrication and equipment adjustments.
The role will also involve supporting continuous improvement and planned shutdown activities, making it a great opportunity for a mechanically skilled engineer who enjoys preventative maintenance and improving equipment performance.
Sector - Factory Maintenance Non-Negotiable Requirements for the Mechanical Engineer Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline Mechanical maintenance experience within a manufacturing or production environment Experience completing planned preventative maintenance Mechanical fault-finding and breakdown experience Requirements for the Mechanical Engineer Apprentice-trained or suitably experienced in mechanical maintenance Experience working on conveyors and production machinery Ability to install and set up blades to tight tolerances Understanding of safe maintenance practices and Health please see our website for further details.
