Precast Fitter

Excel Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for a Pre-cast Fitter in Ballymena on a permanent full-time basis.

£16 per hour with an additional staff benefit package.

This role will require the successful candidate to work overtime and the occasional Saturday when required.

The Job:

The Pre-cast Fitter will:

• Join the Yard, Transport and Installation team on-site, working as part of a skilled team installing precast concrete products on various sites and farms throughout the UK, primarily within the agricultural sector.
• Marking out and setting up concrete structures in accordance with drawings and specifications, erecting precast panels and units using site-specific installation methods, and coordinating with despatch and management to ensure the timely delivery of products and equipment.
• Involve completing relevant site documentation, assisting with general yard and groundwork duties as required, and supporting the setup of agricultural shows across the UK. This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, travelling to different sites and being part of a busy, practical team.

The Person:

• Previous experience working on construction sites, ideally installing precast concrete products or similar structures.
• Good practical skills and confidence using tools and equipment on site.
• A good understanding of health and safety when working on site.
• A flexible approach to working hours and a willingness to adapt to different tasks.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
• A good understanding of written and spoken English.
• Willingness to travel throughout the UK as required for work.
