Precision Grinder

Our engineering client is looking for a Grinder to join their busy team in Dorset, manufacturing high-precision engineering components.

• The role will involve:
• Carrying out precision grinding and honing operations
• Working from engineering drawings and specifications
• Using micrometers, verniers and gauges
• Working accurately to tight tolerances
• Inspecting components to ensure quality standards are met
• Learning and developing new machining techniques

Candidates should have completed an engineering apprenticeship or equivalent vocational training, with a good understanding of engineering principles and precision measurement.

Previous grinding, honing, milling, turning or CNC experience would be beneficial, although specialist training can be provided.

Hours: MondayThursday: 7:30am5:00pm Friday: 7:30am11:30am 40 hours per week

Pay: £16£18 per hour, depending on experience
