Having the right to work in the UK is a requirement for this role. QBE may consider sponsorship at its discretion. The opportunityWe're looking for a Pricing Governance Manager to join our Chief Underwriting Office on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is a newly created role that will play an important part in shaping and embedding pricing governance across QBE European Operations. Working with colleagues from Pricing & Data Science, Underwriting, Risk and Audit, you'll help ensure pricing activities are supported by effective governance, clear reporting and proportionate oversight.

Your new roleReporting to the Senior Underwriting Standards Manager, you'll support the ongoing development of our pricing governance framework and help ensure governance activity remains aligned with business priorities, internal standards and regulatory requirements.

You'll work with a wide range of stakeholders across the business, coordinating governance activities, supporting committee reporting and helping maintain visibility of key risks, actions and obligations. While you won't be responsible for technical pricing decisions, you'll play a key role in helping teams work together effectively and ensuring governance processes remain transparent, consistent and fit for purpose.

Key responsibilities

Support the development and continuous enhancement of the Pricing Governance Framework. Maintain pricing governance policies, guidance, processes, supporting documentation and training materials. Coordinate pricing governance reporting and management information for key governance forums and committees.

Monitor pricing governance activities, actions, risks and issues, helping ensure these are appropriately assessed, tracked, managed and reported. Work with Pricing, Underwriting, Risk and Audit teams to promote a consistent approach to pricing governance.

Provide pricing governance advice and guidance to stakeholders across the business and attend governance forums, as required. Undertake and support governance reviews, attestations and remediation activities, where required.

Help identify opportunities to simplify processes and enhance governance effectiveness. Build positive relationships across multiple teams, encouraging collaboration and shared understanding. Contribute to pricing governance planning and ongoing capability development.

About youYou'll enjoy working with a broad range of stakeholders and be comfortable coordinating competing priorities across different teams. You're naturally organised, curious and collaborative, with the ability to take complex information and communicate it clearly and confidently to different audiences.

You may come from a pricing, underwriting, governance or risk background. Most importantly, you'll understand how effective governance supports informed decision-making and helps businesses operate confidently in a regulated environment.

Skills and experience you'll need: Experience working in insurance pricing, underwriting, governance or risk. Knowledge of insurance pricing activities and frameworks, either through direct pricing experience or by working closely with pricing teams.

Ability to build effective relationships, work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, influence outcomes and challenge constructively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Comfortable interpreting information, identifying themes and supporting informed decision-making. A proactive approach to continuous improvement and finding practical solutions. Confidence working independently while remaining highly collaborative.
