Principal/Associate Structural Engineer

Overview

In this role you will lead and grow a London structural team within a respected multidisciplinary design practice. You’ll work closely with the London Director to drive project delivery, business development and team expansion as the office scales from 6 to 30–40 staff. You’ll manage hands-on design across refurb and new-build schemes, mentor junior engineers and help win repeat business. This opportunity combines technical leadership with strategic growth in a collaborative, value-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• lead and deliver structural projects across a range of buildings
• develop and manage client relationships and win new business
• perform hands-on design across main materials for refurb and new builds
• conduct site visits and oversee quality and safety on site
• mentor junior engineers and grow the project delivery team
• prepare fee bids and quotes
• collaborate with directors and cross-functional teams

Key requirements

• MIStructE or MICE qualification (ideally)
