They need Principal Data Architects who want real ownership and influence, and who stay close to delivery. **The role **Set technical direction for large-scale data platforms on mission-critical programmes. Work alongside senior stakeholders, engineers and delivery teams.

Hands-on architecture: shape the platform, guide the build, make sure it works in the real world. **What you'll do **- Own data architecture across complex, secure programmes- Design end-to-end platforms, from ingestion to analytics and operational use- Build scalable architectures for highly classified environments- Turn mission requirements into solutions that can be delivered- Lead engineering teams through implementation- Shape long-term architecture and platform strategy **The environment **AWS, Azure, GCP

• Databricks, Snowflake
• Lake, lakehouse and modern warehouse architectures
• Distributed processing
• DevOps, IaC and secure deployment

Governance, access control and analytics **What we're looking for **- Active DV clearance- Proven delivery of enterprise-scale data platforms- Defence, national security or secure government experience- Deep cloud data architecture and secure design skills- Confident with senior technical and business stakeholders- Track record leading teams through complex delivery **Why it matters **Here, data architecture directly shapes operational capability.
