Principal Engineer

Overview

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and strategy for engineering excellence and delivery
• Set standards and ensure solutions meet required quality and security
• Mentor engineers and grow engineering capability across teams
• Lead complex engineering initiatives and architectural design
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and delivery managers to deliver high‑value technical solutions
• Balance strategic thinking with hands‑on technical involvement
• Influence engineering roadmap and drive continuous improvement

Key requirements

• Deep and broad technical expertise in software engineering, system design, integration, Azure, CRM, Finance systems and APIs
• Proven experience leading large‑scale technical change and architectural design
• Strong ability to influence technical strategy and clarify complex problems
• Experience providing technical assurance and ensuring standards
• Excellent communication to engage senior stakeholders
• Proven coaching and mentoring of engineers
• Ability to balance strategy with hands‑on work
• Work with Product Manager to align market insights with product decisions
