Principal Experience Designer

Overview

In this role you lead the design of SimCorp’s most complex initiatives, shaping the design direction and elevating craft across multiple product teams. You’ll anchor the design system, partner with leadership on roadmaps, and mentor senior designers in a global center of excellence. You help translate intricate financial concepts into intuitive interfaces for high-stakes users. This is a chance to influence fintech UX at scale and drive measurable business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead design for the most complex and strategic initiatives, influencing overall vision and craft
• Establish design patterns and standards adopted across the organization and guide design system evolution
• Drive fintech UX innovation across products and collaborate with senior product leadership
• Partner with leadership on roadmap planning and contribute to architectural decisions
• Act as a UX subject matter expert and mentor for designers
• Collaborate with engineering, research, and customer success to align feasibility, insights, and feedback
• Present design vision to executives and work cross-functionally with senior leadership
• Contribute to hiring decisions for senior design roles

Key requirements

• 8+ years of design experience in enterprise software
• Proven track record leading multi-team design initiatives
• Strong systems thinking and pattern recognition
• Ability to balance strategy with execution
• Experience translating complex financial concepts into actionable interfaces
• Experience leveraging AI tools for creative solutions
• Experience mentoring senior designers and design leaders
• Ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder alignment
• Self-directed and results-oriented
• Fintech domain experience is a plus
