Job Description DescriptionPriory Hospital Kemple ViewPart Time | 22.5 hours | Site based£34950 - £40950HCPC registration requiredPriory Hospital Kemple View has an opportunity for a HCPC registered principal psychologist to join our team.

Priory Hospital Kemple View, Blackburn, Lancashire is a 90-bedded hospital providing level 2 rehabilitation and secure services for adult males with mental health conditions and/or personality disorders. It is accessible by public transport, with a local train station approximately a 3-minute drive away.

Due to the location of the service, access to a vehicle or the ability to drive is recommended. What you'll be doingAs a Principal Psychologist, youll play a key role in delivering and developing the psychology service within the hospital/unit.

Youll provide high-quality psychological input that is responsive to the individual needs, risks and presentations of patients, working as part of the wider multidisciplinary team. Youll be responsible for: Leading the psychology provision for a designated ward or group of patients, as agreed with the Head of Psychology.

Undertaking comprehensive psychological assessments, formulation and evaluation to understand patients needs and inform their care. Delivering evidence-based psychological interventions, both individually and in groups, tailored to patients presentations and care pathways.

What you'll bring to the roleEssential: HCPC registration requiredThe successful candidate will possess a confident grasp of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and at least two additional therapeutic modalities, including one with specific relevance to interventions used for local or equivalent disorders.

You will demonstrate a strong understanding and application of therapeutic principles, with a willingness to undertake further training where required. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience working with complex clients and delivering high-level interventions tailored to their needs, alongside formal training in clinical supervision.

Additionally, they will bring solid skills and experience in assessments relevant to the environment and population served, as well as proven leadership and management capabilities.
