Read more in the Benefits section below! Find out more about what it's like working at DVSA. Job description Join the Theory Test team as a Product Specialist, shaping high-quality test content that meets DVSA standards and customer needs.

You will develop and review multiple-choice questions and visual materials, analyse performance data to drive improvements, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. The role includes supporting accessible testing, overseeing language modification services, and preparing content for delivery.

You'll use data and clear writing skills to enhance products, with training provided and opportunities to influence future test design. Your responsibilities will include, but aren't limited to: Create and improve theory test products, from the idea stage through to implementation Schedule and publish content updates, informing stakeholders and monitoring performance following publish Ensure translations and voiceovers are ordered, checked for accuracy and uploaded to the content management system Analyse product data to understand the impact of any changes.

Use this information to create recommendations, proposals and options for review Maintain quality standards for content to ensure it is accessible for a wide audience. This includes having an awareness of BSL requirements and using Plain English to write clearly for content and communications Participate in and present theory test content work in meetings that may include senior managers from internal and external stakeholder groups.

Represent at events as a subject matter expert Foster good communication and teamwork by responding politely and promptly to questions and requests from internal and external customers Act as a language modifier for customers in the test centre who require additional adjustments to access the theory test Great line management is important to us as an organisation, and we will equip and support line managers to develop the skills they need.

Person specification Required experience: To be successful in this role you will need to have the following experience: Intermediate MS Excel skills and knowledge, for example use of formulas, pivot tables and charts.

Ability to write clearly to improve accessibility for your target audience. Some knowledge of the Theory Test Service products and required capabilities. An understanding of the principles of Plain English and how to apply them.

Experience of working within a service environment Additional Information Hold or be willing to achieve a certificate in Language Modification Accredited Training Operational Delivery Profession (ODP) is the largest and most diverse professional community across the Civil Service.

All critical to the delivery of UK public services. Working hours, office attendance and travel requirements Full time roles consist of 37 hours per week. Whilst we welcome applications from those looking to work with us on a part time basis, there is a business requirement for the successful candidate to be able to work at least 22.2 hours per week.

This role is suitable for hybrid working, which is a non-contractual arrangement where a combination of workplace and home-based working can be accommodated subject to business requirements. The expectation at present is a minimum of 60% of your working time a month will be spent at either your designated workplace (one of the locations cited in the advert) or, when required for business reasons, in another office/work location/visiting stakeholders.

Your designated workplace will be your contractual place of work. There may be occasions where you are required to attend above the minimum expectation. Occasional travel to other offices will be required, which may involve overnight stays.
