Quest Employment is currently recruiting for an experienced Workshop / Production Manager to join a well-established woodworking and manufacturing business based in Northampton .This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced production or workshop professional looking for a straight-to-permanent position , where you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the workshop, production planning and the management of a skilled team.

You will play a key role in ensuring production runs efficiently, deadlines are achieved and high standards of quality, organisation and Health & Safety are maintained. The Role As Workshop / Production Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the workshop and production operation.

Your duties will include: Managing the day-to-day running of the workshop and production schedulePlanning and prioritising workloads to ensure production deadlines are metActing as the key link between the office-based team and workshopSupervising, training and developing workshop staffMonitoring production progress and ensuring jobs are completed on timeManaging stock levels and supporting materials controlEnsuring the workshop is organised, efficient and maintained to a high standardEnsuring all Health & Safety procedures are followedIdentifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvementLiaising with senior management regarding production performance and operational issuesTaking a hands-on approach to resolving day-to-day production challengesWhat We're Looking For The successful candidate will have previous experience in a Workshop Manager, Production Manager or similar leadership role within the woodworking industry .You will ideally have: Previous workshop or production management experience within woodworkingStrong leadership and people-management skillsExperience of training and developing staffGood knowledge of production planning and stock controlStrong organisational and communication skillsThe ability to manage workloads and meet tight deadlinesA hands-on and proactive approach to problem-solvingA full UK driving licenceForklift licence would be desirableWhat's in it for you?
