Production Scheduler

KL Talent Solutions is recruiting for an experienced Production Scheduler on behalf of an established manufacturing business in the North East. We're looking for someone who understands how a busy manufacturing environment operates, can manage multiple jobs at different stages of production and knows how to keep everything moving without compromising on accuracy or deadlines.

This isn't a general administration or stock planning position. We need someone with hands-on experience coordinating production schedules, working with technical information and ensuring jobs are ready to progress through manufacturing.

What will you be doing? Creating, maintaining and updating production schedules in line with customer orders and manufacturing requirements. Reviewing job specifications and ensuring all necessary information is accurate before work is scheduled.

Coordinating workloads across different stages of production. Liaising with production teams to establish capacity, priorities and realistic completion dates. Monitoring progress and adjusting schedules when priorities or requirements change.

Identifying missing information, potential delays or scheduling conflicts before they affect production. Working closely with internal departments to ensure jobs progress efficiently. Maintaining accurate scheduling records and updating internal systems.

What are we looking for? Previous experience in a Production Scheduler or similar hands-on manufacturing scheduling role. Experience working with technical specifications, drawings or detailed production requirements. A good understanding of manufacturing processes and production workflows.

The ability to manage multiple jobs and changing priorities. Strong attention to detail and the confidence to question information that doesn't look right. Good communication skills and the ability to work closely with production and technical teams.

Experience using scheduling software or ERP/MRP systems would be advantageous. Interested? If you're an experienced Production Scheduler who enjoys the technical and organisational side of manufacturing, we'd be interested in speaking with you. Apply through KL Talent Solutions for a confidential discussion.
