DelaControl is a specialist industrial automation and controls engineering company, designing and building bespoke control systems and special purpose machinery for a wide range of industrial clients. As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Production / Workshop Manager to take ownership of our workshop floor and drive it forward.
About the role
You'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of our workshop, overseeing the production of bespoke control panels and special purpose machinery from job start through to dispatch. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who wants to shape how a growing workshop operates - improving processes, raising standards, and building a strong, capable team. You'll lead a workshop team of 8, reporting to the senior leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the production of bespoke control systems and special purpose machinery, from job release through to completion Plan and manage workshop scheduling to ensure projects are resourced correctly and delivery dates are consistently met Lead, manage, and develop a team of 8 workshop staff - including training, skills development, and performance management Drive continuous improvement across workshop layout, processes, and ways of working Own and champion health Manufacturing Manager, Engineering Workshop Manager, Operations Manager, Senior Production Operative, Production Team Leader, Production Supervisor, Production Lead, and Production Director may also be considered.
