Programme Director

Overview

In this contract role, you will provide senior programme management leadership for a global customer experience transformation. You’ll coordinate multiple regions and functions, ensuring rigorous planning, governance and delivery across interconnected workstreams.

You will develop reporting, KPIs and dashboards to support decision-making and readiness for change. You will shape governance across programmes and use assertive diplomacy to resolve conflicts in a complex environment. This is an opportunity to drive a high-impact transformation that touches retail, online, data and technology domains.

Responsibilities

• Ensure rigour and accuracy in programme and workstream management (planning, milestones, risks, dependencies)
• Coordinate stakeholders across regions, functions and connected programmes for accurate sequencing and delivery
• Identify, track, mitigate and govern inter- and intra-programme dependencies
• Provide updates, insights and recommendations to governance forums
• Develop and maintain reporting, KPIs and dashboards for decision-making
• Collaborate with business readiness teams to prepare for change and define operating model needs
• Establish governance with other programmes for clarity across the delivery landscape
• Apply assertive diplomacy to resolve issues and prioritize in complex environments

Key requirements

• Extensive senior programme management experience in large-scale transformation and technology-enabled change
• PMO leadership or Head of Programmes experience in complex organisations
• Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams across full programme lifecycle (design to operation)
• Experience coordinating dependencies across technology, data, processes, people and organisational change
• Strong stakeholder management and executive-level influencing skills
• Hands-on, delivery-led approach with ability to maintain momentum
• Excellent written and verbal communication for senior stakeholders
