The Programme Manager / Community Development Manager will deliver practical support across organisational development, fundraising, governance, strategy, stakeholder engagement and peer learning. The Programme Manager / Community Development Manager will also support colleagues across the region, contribute to funding applications and use CRM and reporting systems to capture progress, impact and learning.

DUTIESYour duties as the Programme Manager / Community Development Manager include: Programme Delivery: Deliver fundraising and capacity building support to Black and Racially Minoritised VCSE organisations across the South WestTeam Support: Support Community Organisers, a Fundraising Lead and Development Workers operating in different parts of the regionOrganisational Development: Work with charities, CIOs, CICs and unincorporated groups to assess needs and develop plans around strategy, theory of change, governance, growth and sustainabilityCommunity Convening: Host networking events, peer learning circles and knowledge-sharing opportunities with community organisations and partnersStakeholder Engagement: Build links with local authorities, NHS, Public Health, the Police and other stakeholders to help ensure services reflect the needs of local Black and Racially Minoritised communitiesFundraising Support: Draft fundraising applications and engage with funders to help unlock resources that achieve better outcomes with and for Black and Racially Minoritised communitiesLearning and Resources: Ensure advice, templates, tools and learning opportunities are available to strengthen funding, impact and sustainabilityReporting and Insight: Capture organisational information, development activity, impact and learning using CRM and engagement reporting systemsCANDIDATE REQUIREMENTSESSENTIALUnderstanding of and commitment to racial justice principles, with alignment to the organisations values and missionProven experience of programme managementExperience of organisational development in the VCSE sectorExperience working with Black and Racially Minoritised communities, or otherwise marginalised communities, using trauma-informed practiceExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse communities, negotiate and share information clearlyStrong organisational and strategic planning skills, with experience coordinating events, campaigns or community programmesExcellent facilitation, communication and presentation skillsExperience delivering capacity building and/or support programmesKnowledge of legal structures, organisational planning and budgetsAbility to work independently, manage a varied workload and thrive in a small, agile teamStrong computer skills including CRM systems, Microsoft Teams and Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPointDESIRABLEKnowledge of the South West context and the specific challenges facing racially minoritised communities in the regionExperience working within the voluntary and community sectorExperience designing training programmes or community resourcesBENEFITS25 days annual leave plus bank holidaysPension with 3% employer contributionHybrid working between office and home, with desk space at the organisations Bristol office, with travel across South West for organisational needsProfessional development and training support, including connections to the organisations workPastoral support through workplace wellbeing practitionerA committed, collegial team doing work that genuinely matters, in an organisation building something newHOW TO APPLYTo be considered for this job vacancy, please submit your CV and Cover Letter to our Recruitment Team who will review your details.
