Project Archaeologist

Overview As a Project Archaeologist with AECOM's Cultural Resources Team, you will manage and coordinate archaeological assessments and reporting to meet provincial standards. You will lead multidisciplinary project delivery from proposal through report completion, engaging clients, Indigenous partners, and subcontractors.

Pay / Benefits comprehensive benefits package flexible work options well-being resources retirement savings plan employee stock purchase plan paid time off Responsibilities Manage projects from proposal to report completion within scope, budget, and schedule Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver project deliverables Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and Indigenous partners Prepare archaeological reports complying with MCM standards Familiarity with MCM Past Portal and online archaeology/heritage portal Develop and implement field health and safety materials Demonstrate attention to detail in written and oral communications Collaborate effectively within a team and independently Apply knowledge of pre-contact and historic artifacts in Ontario Key requirements Bachelor's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or related field 2+ years in archaeological consulting or similar role Valid Ontario MCM Research or Professional Archaeology licence Familiarity with MCM Standards and Guidelines for Consultant Archaeologists Experience supporting archaeological fieldwork and data collection Ability to coordinate logistics for field activities and small teams Strong written and verbal communication skills Attention to detail Strong written and oral communication Team collaboration Experience in archaeological fieldwork documentation Knowledge of Ontario pre-contact and historic artifact types Familiarity with Ontario MCM Past Portal
