Job Description Project Delivery Manager - 6 Month Fixed Term ContractLocation: Broughton, ChesterHours: Full time, six month fixed term contractSalary: £50,000, plus car / car allowance, 33 days holiday (including bank holidays), pension, life assurance, employee assistance programme, wellbeing support, and flexible benefits including cycle to work schemeAbout the RoleAs our Project Delivery Manager you will drive logistics initiatives from initial concept through to final delivery and review within our aircraft wing manufacturing facility.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will lead both client-suggested modifications and internal supply chain improvements. This is a hands-on, boots-on-the-ground role requiring you to be fully immersed in shop-floor logistics operations to understand live constraints, manage strict aerospace risk profiles, and ensure seamless delivery.
Initially a six month fixed term contract. As part of your key responsibilities, you'll: Define project boundaries, material handling requirements, and initial budgetsCollaborate with operational teams to build comprehensive, realistic timelines and delivery schedulesBe an active 'change agent' - leading execution phases directly from the warehouse floorConduct reviews, track compliance, and ensure smooth handover to BAUSpend significant time on-site to understand live production and logistics challenges, solving supply chain bottlenecks on the ground alongside operational personnel, and proactively identify, track, and mitigate strict aerospace risk profilesCompile and maintain master project plans, delivering tailored status reports at every project phase, presenting clear updates to internal leaders and external clientsPartner with the Commercial Manager to evaluate client Change RequestsValidate operational cost models and tactical timing plansProvide accurate data to inform formal commercial quotes issued to clientsAbout YouWed love you to have the following skills and experience, but please apply if you think youd be able to perform well in this role!
A confident influencer, you will need to be comfortable and effective communicating and influencing at many levels, with the ability to build strong, strategic relationshipsProfessional Project Management qualificationSound financial acumenEnjoy working in a team but will be self-motivated and equally comfortable managing your own team, time, and workloadExperience of Project Managing large and complex projects with multiple workstreams based in various locations around the UK and an understanding of the complexities that this bringsAbout UnipartWe are a supply chain performance improvement partner.
