Project Leader

Overview

In this role you drive the design and delivery of water and wastewater projects within a design-and-build environment. You work within a multi-disciplinary team to move schemes from outline through to handover, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and compliant outcomes. You will collaborate closely with clients and internal teams, supporting professional development and chartership progression. This position offers flexible working and a chance to contribute to critical water infrastructure initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of treatment or infrastructure projects from outline to detailed design and through construction, commissioning and handover
• Coordinate the project team (civil, electrical, mechanical, process designers, BIM modelers, and technical specialists) to meet programme, budget, and quality requirements
• Contribute design work in own discipline and mentor junior colleagues
• Build strong relationships with clients’ project, operational and technical assurance teams to foster a one-team approach
• Collaborate within a project triangle with Site Manager and Quantity Surveyor to balance technical, constructability, and commercial factors

Key requirements

• Accredited Degree in Civil Engineering
• Incorporated Member of Engineering Institution
• Outline and detailed design experience in water or wastewater projects
• Knowledge of Designer or Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015
