Project Leader

Overview

In this role you will lead the design and delivery of water and wastewater projects within a dynamic design-and-build environment. You will work within a multi-disciplinary project team to drive design from outline through to handover, balancing technical quality with schedule and cost. You’ll mentor colleagues and collaborate with clients to foster a unified, one-team approach. The position offers flexible working and a clear path toward professional chartership, making a meaningful impact on community water resilience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of treatment or infrastructure projects from outline to detailed design, through construction and handover
• Coordinate interdisciplinary design teams (civil, electrical, mechanical, process, BIM) and ensure on-program, on-budget delivery
• Undertake design in own discipline and mentor less experienced colleagues
• Foster strong client relationships and promote a one-team, collaborative approach
• Balance technical, constructability, and commercial considerations across frameworks and specs

Key requirements

• Accredited Degree in Civil Engineering
• Incorporated Member of Engineering Institution
• Outline and detailed design experience of water or wastewater projects
• Knowledge of Designer or Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015
• Collaborative mindset
