Your new roleReporting to a senior leadership team member, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of multiple construction and refurbishment projects from inception through to completion. Working closely with site teams, subcontractors, clients and consultants, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, profitably and to agreed programme and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead projects through all stages of delivery, from pre-construction to completionManage and support Site Managers, Supervisors, Assistant Project Managers, Trainee Project Managers and direct trades operativesTake responsibility for project performance, profitability and complianceReview and interpret construction drawings, specifications and contract documentationLiaise with clients, consultants and project stakeholders throughout deliveryManage specialist and nominated subcontractorsEnsure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and CDM RegulationsAttend and chair project meetings as requiredPrepare progress reports, programmes and contractor reportsPrice and agree project variations and instructionsPrepare valuations and contribute to final accountsAssist in the preparation of tenders and estimates where requiredMonitor project costs and profitabilityCoordinate procurement activities and ensure timely delivery of materialsApprove supplier and subcontractor invoicesUndertake additional responsibilities in line with business requirements and career progressionWhat you'll need to succeedConstruction-related qualification (Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent experience)Demonstrable project management experience within the construction sectorStrong understanding of construction methodologies and project deliveryExperience working on commercial and/or design and build projectsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and specificationsStrong leadership, planning and organisational skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder management abilitiesConfident IT skills, including Microsoft Office and project management softwareFull UK driving licenceSMSTS or SSSTS certification (desirable)First Aid at Work qualification (desirable)What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
