Project Manager – Teesside Location: Teesside / North East Employment: Permanent Sector: Civil Engineering / Groundworks / Infrastructure The Opportunit yWe are currently working with a well-established specialist Civils Contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team in Teesside .The company has a strong pipeline of major civils and infrastructure projects across the North East and is looking for a Project Manager who can take responsibility for the successful delivery of projects from pre-construction through to completion .This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Project Manager to join a specialist contractor with a strong reputation and long-term workload .
The Ro leAs Project Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the successful delivery of your projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on programme, to the required quality standards and within budge t. Key responsibilities will inclu de:Full project management responsibility from mobilisation through to completi on.Managing and coordinating site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and stakeholde rs.Planning and programming works to ensure projects are delivered on ti me.Managing project budgets, costs and commercial performan ce.Working closely with the commercial and engineering tea ms.Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with health & safety requiremen ts.Monitoring progress and providing regular project updat es.Managing client relationships and attending progress meetin gs.Identifying and managing project ris ks.Ensuring quality standards and specifications are maintain ed.Coordinating resources, plant and materia ls.Managing subcontractor performance and ensuring works are delivered to program me.Supporting the resolution of technical and construction issues throughout the project lifecyc le.
About YouThe successful candidate will ideally ha ve:Proven experience working as a Project Manager within civil engineering / groundworks / infrastructu re.Experience managing projects from start to fini sh.Strong commercial and contractual awarene ss.Excellent organisational and communication skil ls.Experience managing site teams and subcontracto rs.A strong understanding of construction health & safety requiremen ts.The ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver against demanding programm es.Relevant civil engineering or construction qualificatio ns.
