Project Manager – Water Sector

Overview

As a Project Manager at Stantec, you will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of diverse water sector projects, aligning with client expectations and the firm’s framework. You will collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to drive results, manage risks, and keep projects on track. The role targets timely, on-budget delivery with high quality, across multi-disciplinary initiatives. You will work in a hybrid setup from the Midlands and play a pivotal role in growth and client service within the water sector.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of water sector projects
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders
• Identify and mitigate risks early and address issues proactively
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to meet financial and operational targets
• Regular reporting and presenting updates to internal and external audiences

Key requirements

• Experience in the Water industry with project management and commercial management essentials
• Industry chartership qualification such as CEng or similar
• Industry project management qualification such as APM PMQ or similar
• Experience managing multiple deadlines and stakeholder relationships
• Proven track record in proactive risk management and mitigation
• Experience leading and mentoring team members in project and commercial management
