9-12 month contract role with a local authority Summary This is a 9-12 month contract role with a local authority focused on supporting the development implementation maintenance and continuous improvement of the Councils financial management systems and finance-related projects.
The postholder will play a crucial role in leading and supporting system upgrades financial transformation initiatives and process improvements to ensure the Council maintains robust efficient and compliant financial management arrangements.
Responsibilities Lead and support financial system implementation and upgrade projects. Assist with the strategic development of financial management and procurement systems. Support the maintenance configuration and ongoing development of financial systems.
Project manage financial system reviews upgrades testing implementation and post-implementation support. Liaise with software providers consultants ICT teams and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of projects. Develop project plans monitor progress and report outcomes to senior management.
Requirements
Essential Experience Required Experience working within a Local Government finance environment. Experience supporting or delivering finance systems projects and upgrades. Experience using corporate financial management systems.
Essential Qualifications Required Part-qualified or fully qualified Accountant (AAT or equivalent professional qualification). Relevant finance accountancy or systems experience. Additional Information Working hours: 37 hours per week with consideration for 3 or 4 days.
The role requires a basic DBS. Hybrid working in Brentwood. Compensation: 35-40 umbrella. Bi-weekly work schedule. The role closes soon apply ASAP. Required
