This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing engineering business in a varied role combining technical proposals, project coordination, commercial activity and customer interaction.
You don't need to have worked in exactly this type of role before. The client is open to candidates from a range of engineering, project, commercial and technical backgrounds. You'll receive full training and support, with a genuine opportunity to develop your career into Project Management or a broader commercial/project role.
The RoleYou'll be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from the initial enquiry and quotation through to project completion. Approximately 60% of your time will involve project management and coordination, with the remaining 40% focused on quotations, proposals and commercial activity.
Responsibilities include: Managing and coordinating engineering projects from order through to completionWorking with customers, suppliers and internal teamsPreparing technical quotations, estimates and proposalsMonitoring project costs, budgets and timescalesCoordinating materials, resources and suppliersEnsuring projects are delivered on time and to specificationMaintaining accurate project and commercial documentationSupporting customers throughout the project lifecycleIdentifying and resolving issues as projects progressWorking closely with the wider engineering and commercial teamsWhat We're Looking ForWe're not looking for one specific background .You could currently be working as a: Proposals EngineerProject EngineerProject CoordinatorJunior Project ManagerProjects AdministratorEstimator / Junior EstimatorApplications EngineerTechnical Sales EngineerTechnical Support EngineerContracts CoordinatorCommercial AssistantSite Engineer looking to move into project managementOr another engineering, construction or technical role involving projects, costs or customersYou might be looking for your first step into Project Management, or simply want a role with more responsibility and career progression.
You'll ideally have
Some experience working with projects, engineering, construction or technical productsGood organisational and communication skillsThe ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlinesStrong attention to detailA commercial and practical approachConfidence communicating with customers, suppliers and colleaguesA willingness to learn and developExperience within water treatment is not essential.
