Provisioning Engineer - DWDM / Ciena 6500 £300 per day | Inside IR35 | Hybrid - London We are looking for an experienced Provisioning Engineer with strong expertise in optical transmission, DWDM and Ciena 6500 technologies.
Key Responsibilities Design and document transmission and packet network solutions. Provision, configure and test network elements across optical and L2/L3 technologies. Support customer service activation, implementation and network upgrades.
Manage network capacity, disconnects and capacity reallocation. Maintain accurate technical documentation and network records. Ensure designs and implementations meet technical and industry standards. Troubleshoot and resolve network and provisioning issues.
Key Skills & Experience Extensive optical transmission / DWDM experience. Strong hands-on Ciena 6500 experience. Good knowledge of DWDM, ROADM, Flexgrid and photonic layer technologies. Understanding of L2/L3 operator networks, with BGP/MPLS knowledge advantageous.
Experience with optical test equipment and performance monitoring. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management. Experience with Nokia, ADVA advantageous. Cisco, Juniper, Nokia or Ciena certification is a plus.
