This is an exciting opportunity for a Paralegal to join our Public Law and Human Rights team, supporting the team with a diverse caseload. The team advises and represents clients across a range of matters, including: Public Law Judicial Reviews Community Care and Children’s Rights Judicial Reviews Inquests Claims against Public Authorities

Key responsibilities

Drafting and reviewing documents (including correspondence, witness statements) Preparation of bundles Completing legal aid forms and applications, dealing with the LAA New client enquiries File opening process Communicating with clients and other parties by phone and in person Taking detailed attendance notes Attending court Legal research Billing of files Exercising sensitivity when dealing with vulnerable clients Key Requirements The ideal candidate will have: A law degree Experience in public and or human rights law and a good understanding of the LAA Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with clients in an empathetic manner Why Join Simpson Millar?
