Job Description Our client is a well-respected humanitarian charity that provides aid to vulnerable communities around the world, regardless of faith, race or background. They are seeking an experienced Events & Volunteer Engagement Manager (with fluent Punjabi) to lead the planning and delivery of fundraising, community and awareness events across the UK.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate events professional who enjoys building relationships, engaging communities and delivering events that make a real difference. This is a full time office-based role, Monday to Friday, based in Taplow.
Flexibility is essential due to the nature of events, and time off in lieu will be provided for weekends worked. UK wide travel will be required too on occasions.
Key responsibilities include
Planning and delivering fundraising, community and awareness events across the UKDeveloping creative event concepts to engage supporters, volunteers and partnersManaging event budgets, venues, suppliers, logistics and merchandiseBuilding relationships with sponsors, corporate partners and community groupsIdentifying sponsorship and partnership opportunities to maximise incomeRecruiting, coordinating and engaging volunteersWorking closely with marketing and fundraising teams to promote eventsMonitoring event performance and using feedback to improve future activitiesEnsuring compliance with Health & Safety, safeguarding and GDPR requirementsSkills/ExperienceA minimum of 5 years' experience delivering fundraising, community, corporate or similar eventsExperience managing event budgets, suppliers, logistics and event operationsA proven track record of generating income through fundraising, sponsorship or partnershipsExperience recruiting and managing volunteersStrong organisational, project management and communication skillsExcellent stakeholder and relationship-building abilitiesA proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work independentlyA full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide, including occasional evenings and weekendsFluent Punjabi language skills (essential)Please note that we will only contact those candidates that we assess as suitable for the positions we have currently available based on their experience, training, and skills.
