p b Purchasing Manager /b /p p b Ipswich - 2 days working from home offered after 6 months br br All potential candidates should read through the following details of this job with care before making an application. br Permanent /b /p p b Circa £50,000 + up to 10% Bonus + Excellent Benefits /b /p p Polkadotfrog as proud to be supporting a successful, people-focused business with a strong reputation for quality, innovation and long-term career development, in their search for an experienced Purchasing Manager. /p p As the Purchasing Manager youll be working within a fast-paced Sales Purchasing department, where you will be responsible for leading the purchasing function, developing a high-performing team, managing stock and supplier relationships, and ensuring purchasing strategies support wider business objectives. /p p Were looking for a confident and approachable Purchasing Manager who enjoys developing people, building strong supplier partnerships and driving continuous improvement. /p p b Responsibilities as the Purchasing Manager: /b /p ul li Lead, motivate and develop the Purchasing team, ensuring high levels of performance and engagement. /li li Take full accountability for the purchasing function, stock control and team output. /li li Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with business objectives. /li li Manage supplier relationships, negotiate favourable terms and review supplier performance. /li li Oversee stock purchasing from both parent company and third-party suppliers. /li li Manage import procedures and ensure efficient stock availability. /li li Work closely with the Logistics team to coordinate transport, warehouse capacity and incoming stock. /li /ul p b The successful Purchasing Manager will have: /b /p ul li Previous experience in a Purchasing Manager or similar leadership role. /li li Proven experience managing and developing teams within a purchasing or supply chain environment. /li li Knowledge of purchasing, stock management, logistics and transport coordination. /li li Experience of import procedures and supplier management. /li li A successful track record of negotiating with suppliers. /li li Excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills. /li li Strong communication skills with the confidence to build relationships across all areas of the business. /li /ul p Youll be joining a well-established business that genuinely values its people.
