Overview In this role you will develop and scale Python-powered web services and APIs that support Global Player and its public-facing radio sites. You'll contribute to a suite of digital products used by millions of visitors, collaborating across cross-functional teams to deliver robust, maintainable solutions.
You'll work hands-on, embrace learning new technologies, and help set engineering standards through code quality and testing. This is a chance to shape high-traffic digital platforms and improve user experiences across devices and channels.
Responsibilities Develop and maintain web services powering Global Player and public-facing radio sites Build APIs and tooling that support mobile apps and devices (Alexa, Google Home) Contribute to internal editorial and content systems feeding public products Key requirements Strong commercial development experience using Python Solid grasp of OOP and RESTful APIs Familiarity with Git and version control Experience in a sociable, cross-functional team Commitment to testing with unit tests, mocking, and test-driven development Experience with relational databases and ORM frameworks Understanding of Continuous Integration proactive collaborative willingness to learn new technologies Django, Sanic or Litestar experience (bonus) GraphQL (bonus) asyncio (bonus)
