Overview

In this Audit Assistant Manager role, you build and lead a portfolio of client audits while ensuring high-quality delivery. You’ll guide planning, identify risk areas, and supervise juniors, collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide insight beyond numbers. The firm prioritises people development, client relationships, and meaningful impact, offering strong training and progression. Responsibilities

• Manage and own a portfolio of clients and serve as a primary contact
• Lead audit planning, risk assessment, and evidence sufficiency
• Supervise and review work of seniors and juniors
• Monitor progress, budgets, and deadlines across engagements
• Support clients with broader business needs and occasional advisory input
• Ensure filing deadlines (Companies House, corporation tax) are met

Key requirements

• ACCA/ACA qualification with audit leadership experience from planning to completion
• Solid knowledge of current accounting standards (e.g., FRS 102; SORP)
• Proficiency in Excel, Sage, CaseWare, and similar tools
• Demonstrated supervisory capabilities and ability to juggle multiple deadlines
