Were looking for a motivated and technically strong Quality Engineer to join an established manufacturing business on a permanent afternoon shift. This is a hands-on role where youll work closely with the Quality Manager and wider production teams, helping to drive quality standards, support new product introduction and deliver sustainable improvements across the business.
If youre someone who doesn't just identify quality issues but wants to understand why they happen and make sure they don't happen again, this could be an excellent opportunity. Commutable from Birmingham, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Sutton Coldfield, Minworth, Wombourne, Brierly Hill, Rowley Regis, Dudley, Harbourne, Bloxwich and AldridgeDutiesSupport New Product Introduction (NPI) activitiesDrive continuous improvement across Quality processes and systemsInvestigate quality issues and implement robust, sustainable corrective actionsMonitor and measure process and product performanceConduct process and system audits and manage non-conformancesSupport Metrology activitiesConduct daily product audits, including material testing and X-ray inspectionOwn and maintain Control Plans and associated Work InstructionsSupport and manage customer SQA representatives during site visitsWorking dedicated Afternoon shiftRequirementsStrong Quality Engineering experienceMust have gained knowledge from within a manufacturing / engineering environmentKnowledge and understanding of TS16949 / IATF 16949Good understanding of MetrologyStrong practical experience with Quality tools, such as 8D, APQP, PPAPs, PFMEA, SPC and Control PlansThe confidence to coach, influence and challenge othersHappy to work afternoon shiftFull clean driving licenceReady for Your Next Quality Challenge?
