Quality Inspector - Abingdon - £28,500

Job Description Our client, a specialist manufacturing company in Abingdon (OX14), is seeking a temporary Quality Inspector to support a friendly team during a period of peak demand. The role will be responsible for identifying and documenting non conformances on incoming products, ensuring impeccable accuracy.

This is a temporary role for a period of 4 months but there is some chance it could be extended depending on business needs. It is a clean, modern facility working with state of the art technology and contributing to the manufacture of scientific products which are used in a range of research that benefits humanity. duties

Performing incoming inspection of various components against defined acceptance criteriaCarrying out visual and dimensional inspections using appropriate equipment as instructedReviewing relevant supplier documentation and ensuring required records are available and completeRecording and maintaining accurate inspection results and traceability informationIdentifying, segregating and escalating non-conforming materials in accordance with Quality proceduresThe role would suit someone with excellent attention to detail who can work in a fast paced environment, following work instructions and SOPs to the letter.

Any specific experience of quality inspection within regulated manufacturing would be highly advantageous. The working hours 8am-4.30pm Monday to Friday and the pay rate is £14.71 per hour. We are keen to find someone who can start within 1 week.
