Quantity Surveyor

Overview

As a Quantity Surveyor at AECOM you contribute to cost management across diverse projects, from inception to completion. You work with cross-functional teams and clients to deliver accurate estimates, cost plans, and procurement support. You help manage budgets, prepare Bills of Quantities, and support tendering and contract strategies. This role blends technical cost control with stakeholder collaboration to drive successful project outcomes. Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering cost management and QS services from project inception to completion
• Prepare cost estimates, cost plans, and financial reports
• Assist with Bills of Quantities production in line with standards
• Support procurement activities, tender documentation, and tender evaluations
• Provide commercial advice on procurement routes and contract strategies
• Monitor project budgets and support cost control activities
• Assist with valuations, variations, and final accounts
• Maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Collaborate within multidisciplinary project teams to achieve outcomes

Key requirements

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
• Membership of, or working towards, RICS or equivalent body
• Experience with JCT and NEC forms of contract
• Experience in measurement and quantification, including CostX
• Experience assisting with Bills of Quantities and cost planning documents
• Understanding of procurement routes and tendering processes
