Job Description Quantity SurveyorA growing multi-disciplinary consultancy based in Sheffield is looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its expanding team. The consultancy delivers Building Surveying and Project Management services across the commercial, education, healthcare and public sectors.
The successful candidate will work across a diverse portfolio of refurbishment, extension, conversion and new build projects, predominantly valued between £0 - £5 million and located within approximately one hour of Sheffield.

You will work closely with clients, contractors and the wider consultancy team, providing cost advice throughout the project lifecycle and ensuring projects are effectively managed from a financial and commercial perspective.
The role will include: Providing Quantity Surveying and cost management services across a range of projectsPreparing cost plans, budgets and estimatesAdvising clients on project costs and financial implicationsPreparing tender documentation and supporting procurementAnalysing tenders and preparing tender reportsUndertaking valuations and assessing variationsMonitoring project costs and expenditurePreparing and reviewing financial reportsManaging change and assessing the commercial impact of variationsSupporting the preparation and agreement of final accountsWorking closely with clients, contractors and consultantsAttending project and client meetingsProviding commercial advice from project inception through to completionQuantity Surveyor Job
Requirements
MRICS is essentialDegree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related disciplinePrevious Quantity Surveying experience within a consultancy environmentStrong pre and post-contract experienceExperience across refurbishment, extension and/or new build projectsStrong understanding of procurement and tenderingExcellent cost management and commercial awarenessStrong report writing and communication skillsConfident client-facing professionalAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyFull UK Driving LicenceBennett and Game Recruitment are a multi-disciplined technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the UK with specialist teams covering a range of industries.
