Quantity Surveyor

Overview

In this role you will manage the commercial delivery of residential developments across Northern Ireland, ensuring projects stay on budget and commercially successful. You’ll work within the Ballymena-based commercial team to support private and social housing schemes from inception to final account. You’ll collaborate with site teams, subcontractors and suppliers to driveValue, mitigate commercial risks and maintain project performance. This is an opportunity to shape outcomes across multiple live sites with a reputable developer.

Responsibilities

• Managing costs across multiple residential developments
• Preparing valuations, variations and final accounts
• Procurement and management of subcontractor packages
• Cost reporting, forecasting and cash flow management
• Identifying commercial risks and implementing mitigation strategies
• Liaising with site teams to ensure projects remain commercially successful
• Supporting the delivery of private and social housing projects across Northern Ireland

Key requirements

• A degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying
• Strong background within residential construction and housing developments
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent knowledge of subcontract procurement and contract administration
• Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills
• A proactive and organised approach to commercial management
• Full driving licence and willingness to visit sites across Northern Ireland
