45000 - 65000 per annumBrighton, EnglandPermanentOur Water sector contractor is seeking Quantity Surveyors to join their Falmer based team on a permanent basis supporting a Southern Water repair and maintenance framework on a permanent basis.
The ideal candidate can be Kent, Hampshire or Sussex based as long as they can me mobile across the end clients region when required. Our client is a special purpose joint venture established to deliver wastewater network maintenance and repair services for Southern Water across the South of England.
They focus on keeping sewer networks operating efficiently through planned maintenance, emergency response and rehabilitation works. ResponsibilitiesYou will support the delivery of works across a Water Repair & Maintenance Framework.
This is a pivotal role that acts as the link between operational and commercial teams, helping to deliver sewer rehabilitation, civils, and reactive and planned maintenance projects. You'll play a key role in contract administration, commercial management, change control, subcontractor engagement, valuations, and final accounts, while building strong relationships with client representatives and supply chain partners.
Working within an NEC3/NEC4 environment, you'll contribute to the successful delivery of framework objectives, commercial performance, and client satisfaction. Skills/experience/qualifications3-5 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying or commercial rolePractical knowledge of NEC3 and/or NEC4 contractsExperience managing valuations, variations, compensation events, and final accountsStrong commercial awareness and excellent negotiation skillsAdvanced Excel skills and confidence working with project data and reportingExcellent communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, operational teams, and supply chain partnersExperience within utilities, water, wastewater, or civil engineering sectors would be advantageousA degree, HNC or HND in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline (desirable)Membership of RICS or CICES, or working towards professional accreditation (desirable)Full UK driving licenceBenefitsSalary range 45-65k depending on level of experience/interview performance etc23 days holiday plus bank holidaysCompany pensionCar provision/allowance for travel across the region
