Responsibilities
To beresponsiblefor the cost & value reporting for a sub-project whilst providing key inputs into the resolution and negotiation of commercial claims. Preparation of Tender Packages, enquiries, analysis, negotiation, scope of works & levelling activities culminating in client recommendation & issue of award letter.
Evaluate tenders & produce tender recommendations in accordance with the National Joint Consultative Committee for Building (NJCC) codes of tendering. Act as the internal subject matter expert (SME) & escalation point (internally & externally) for all Quantity Surveyor related issues on nominated projectsConduct measurements & calculations either on-site or from drawings resulting in accurate cost evaluations & associated reportsIssue variation instructions based on scope of works & other contractual documentation for multiple projectsProvide advise & expertise on compensation events & change requestsNegotiate valuations & final accounts across a range of activities for different projectsProvide routine contract administration, management & advicePrice benchmarking ensuring that pricing is accurate & consistentIssuing & managing all internal POs issued to suppliersManaging QS interface on internal database ensuring all costs are tracked & validated.
Work closely with Project Managers, Property Consultants, Project Engineers & other key stakeholdersTimely & accurate recording of information on internal and client databasesPrepare high-quality, accurate reports for both internal & external distribution as requiredUnderstand, promote and comply with Teligent Ltds QA, Health, Safety and Environmental Policies and ProceduresQuantity Surveyor RequirementsDegree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline Membership of RICS or progressing application highly desirableRelevant work experience as a Quantity Surveyor in telecommunicationsExperience within the UK Telecommunications industry highly desirable (not essentialSound IT skills including Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel
