Job description: We are seeking a dedicated Recycling Operative to join our environmentally conscious team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sorting, processing, and managing recyclable materials in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities Collect, sort and process recyclable materials according to company procedures Operate machinery and hand tools used in recycling processes, ensuring proper functionality and safety Conduct extreme heavy lifting of recyclable items and materials as required, maintaining safe lifting techniques at all times Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the recycling area to ensure a safe working environment Assist with the loading and unloading of recyclable materials from vehicles such as lorries or skips Monitor the quality of recyclables to ensure compliance with environmental standards Requirements Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift Good organisational skills with attention to detail in sorting processes Physically fit with the stamina to work in a demanding environment for extended periods Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions A proactive attitude towards health and safety regulations and environmental practices Hours of work can vary from 6am or 7am start.
