Pay: £15.31 per hour PAYE Contract: Temporary until 10 November Hours: 37 hours per week over 4 days Working Pattern: 6:00am 4:30pm (3 days per week) 6:00am 3:30pm (1 day per week) The Role We are recruiting for an experienced Refuse Driver to join a busy local authority waste and recycling team.
Youll be responsible for driving refuse collection vehicles on planned routes, ensuring collections are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard while working closely with the refuse collection crew. Key Responsibilities Drive refuse collection vehicles safely and in accordance with road traffic legislation.
Complete scheduled domestic and commercial waste collection routes. Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects. Work closely with loaders and supervisors to ensure collections are completed efficiently.
Provide excellent customer service when dealing with members of the public. Follow all health and safety procedures at all times. Essential Requirements Full UK Driving Licence. Valid Class C (Category C) licence. Valid Driver CPC.
Digital Tachograph Card. Previous experience driving refuse or other large commercial vehicles. Good knowledge of driver hours and vehicle safety regulations. Reliable, punctual and able to work early morning starts. Able to work effectively as part of a team.
Whats on Offer £15.31 per hour PAYE. 4-day working week. 37 hours per week. Early finish on your fourth working day. Immediate start. Contract running until 10 November .
