Job Description Regional Technical Manager CNC / Cutting Tools North Region £65,000£67,500 + Commission + Company CarA leading industrial engineering business is looking for a Regional Technical Manager to lead its Applications Engineering and Technical Sales teams across Northern England and Scotland.
Based from home in the North West, or North East. This is a senior technical management role focused on CNC machining, cutting tools, metalworking applications and delivering engineering solutions to key manufacturing customers.
The Regional Technical Manager will be responsible for: Leading and developing a regional team of Applications Engineers and Technical Sales EngineersSupporting the delivery of turnkey engineering and metalworking solutionsManaging cutting tool trials, technical enquiries and customer cost-saving projectsEnsuring contractual commitments are delivered across key and national accountsSupporting engineers with account management, project pipelines and new business opportunitiesBuilding relationships with senior customer stakeholdersSetting clear objectives and creating a high-performance, accountable team cultureRecruiting, coaching and developing engineering and technical sales professionalsWorking with strategic cutting tool and engineering suppliersCollaborating with Territory Sales, Business Development, Product Management and Marketing teamsDriving growth across CNC machining, cutting tools and metalworking accountsThe ideal Regional Technical Manager will have: Previous experience managing Applications Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers or Technical Sales EngineersA strong background in CNC machining, cutting tools or metalworkingKnowledge of manufacturing processes including milling, turning and machining applicationsExperience delivering technical engineering solutions to manufacturing customersStrong commercial awareness and the ability to identify growth and cost-saving opportunitiesProven leadership, coaching and team development experienceExcellent customer management and stakeholder communication skillsExperience within industrial supply, precision engineering or manufacturing would be advantageousIn return, the Regional Technical Manager will receive:£65,000£67,500 basic salaryUncapped commissionFully electric or hybrid company carPrivate healthcareCompany credit cardCompany phone and iPadHome and field-based working across Northern England and ScotlandThis is an excellent opportunity for a Technical Manager, Applications Engineering Manager, Cutting Tools Manager or senior CNC Applications Engineer looking to lead a successful regional engineering team.
