Requirements Engineer

Overview

In this role you support the Requirements Management and assurance process for the HS2 London Tunnels Contract. You work with design and construction teams to allocate requirements and plan verification and validation activities, delivering VVMs across all project phases. You report on requirements performance and help drive improvements in the management approach within a multidisciplinary project environment. You’ll operate within the Technical Governance & Compliance team to enable safe, compliant delivery of a major infrastructure programme.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage the Requirements Management Plan and processes for main works civils contract
• Coordinate with design, construction teams, subcontractors and SMEs to allocate requirements and define verification/validation activities
• Produce Verification and Validation Matrices (VVMs) to support assurance across design, construction, testing, commissioning and handover
• Report on the performance of the requirements management and verification processes
• Drive innovation in the requirements management approach
• Foster collaboration within the Requirements Management team and wider project team through data management, workflows and integration

Key requirements

• Relevant professional qualification or equivalent experience in System Engineering
• Experience on large infrastructure projects, preferably civil engineering or rail
• Experience with DOORS for requirements management
